Most women come in with something going on at home.
Often a child who is anxious, or angry, or not sleeping, or not talking to them. She has read everything, and none of it is working. She thinks she has done something wrong.
We start there (not because it is the real subject), but because it is true, and because it's what's keeping her awake.
Then, somewhere around the third or fourth session, something shifts, something else arrives. She may say a sentence out loud that she has never said to anyone, and stops, surprised by it.
After that we are not really talking about her son anymore.
We are talking about what she was taught to do with her anger. What she was praised for as a girl, and what it cost her. Why she cannot ask for help, and why she can feel that in her body before she can
explain it.
None of this is a detour from the parenting. It is the parenting.

Eight sessions over twelve weeks, one to one, online.
We meet for an hour at a time. Between sessions you will have something to work with - sometimes a question, sometimes a practice, or just something to notice. You can reach me between sessions if something urgent comes up.
This is not parenting advice, and I will not give you techniques for managing your children's behaviour.
We are looking at what sits underneath.
€1,130 · payable in two or three instalments
* I am currently taking five women at a founding rate of €650, in exchange for a testimonial at the end. When those places are gone, the price returns to normal.
If you would rather start smaller
Some women come with one specific thing and want a single conversation about it. That is fine, and it is often enough. One hour, €130, and there is no expectation of anything after it.
Before anything else, a conversation.
Forty five minutes, free.
Come with the thing that is actually going on. Not the tidy version, you can bring it exactly as it is, half formed and in the wrong order, which is how most of us carry things anyway.
By the end you will have something you did not have before, whether or not we ever work together.
That is what the time is for.
